California Bill of Sale Form
A California bill of sale is a written legal document that records property sales between buyers and sellers. Buying and selling any property worth $500 or more in California is only enforceable if there is a bill of sale (COM § 2201).

California Vehicle Registration Forms
- Application for Title or Registration/Verification of Vehicle (REG 343): Department of Motor Vehicles (California) form: Necessary for the registration of a new car in California or the registration of a new vehicle owner who is transferring the vehicle’s ownership.
- California Vehicle/Vessel Bill of Sale Form REG 135: Serves as a record of purchase for a motorized vehicle or vessel.
Boat/Vessel Registration Forms
- Application for Vessel Certificate of Number (BOAT 101): Needed for the registration of a boat in California
- Application for Replacement or Transfer Title (REG 227): Used to get a copy of the original title
- California Vehicle/Vessel Bill of Sale Form REG 135: Required if you’re buying from another private party instead of a dealer
